Massage Therapy Curriculum
Classes in massage therapy include instruction in anatomy, physiology kinesiology and a variety of therapeutic massage techniques. Upon program completion, graduates could be ready and eligible to take the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx), which is administered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB).
Massage Therapists On The Job
A typical workday for a massage therapist includes manipulation of muscles and soft-tissue to relieve and manage pain, rehabilitate injuries, relieve stress, improve circulation and enhance overall well being. Massage therapist positions could be found in spas, fitness centers, hotels, professional sports teams and resorts.
