About Stephanie

Why I do what I do:  My father was not a man of greatness but I believe he loved me and he influenced my life in a wonderful way that he could've probably never imagined. You see, when I was very young he had a severe back injury. I watched the pain rule his life and his personality. The only option he was given was a lifetime of prescription pain medicine. I don't have a memory of him ever sitting in a chair in our home. He always laid on the floor because it was more comfortable for him. From the time I was really little I would sit on his hips and rub his back to try to make him feel better. Nearly 30 years of poor mobility and nutrition and prescription pain pills left him morbidly obese in his late 40s. He was 540 lbs at 6 foot tall and he was dead at 51 years old.

I sometimes wonder what kind of husband and father he would've been if he had had better alternatives for coping with pain. It has become my mission in life to find and provide better alternatives. It is not just a career for me, it is a passion and my clients experience this when they are in my care.  I could not do much for my dad, but I know firsthand that helping people address their pain better improves many aspects in life including family.
