LMT and NMT: The owner, Myrna Lovell-Jones holds a degree in nursing from Broadland College of Nursing in the United Kingdom; this experience has given her a vast knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. In 2009, Myrna graduated with honors from Sanford Brown College with a certification in Advanced Massage Therapy.
Myrna is licensed to practice massage in the state of Georgia, is insured with and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (A.M.T.A). Myrna believes in the body’s ability to heal itself and that massage therapy is one of the many paths to restoring health and wholeness to the body.
Myrna’s specialties include, but are not limited to: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue/Sports Massage, Pre/Post-Natal Massage, Neuromuscular Massage/Trigger Point Therapy, Scalp & Foot Reflexology, Hot Stone Therapy, Pain Management and Aromatherapy.
At Sweet Earth Therapeutic Massage (SETM), varied techniques are directed specifically toward the needs of individuals, couples, business men & women and the retirement community. Sessions are also available for meetings and special events –to facilitating customized series of massages, as it relates to sports injuries, pain management, Pre & Post-Natal effects.
In order to better serve a wider range of physical limitations; to that of, chronic pain management issues, SETM has expanded its capabilities to include Subtle Muscle Testing & Strengthening. Having completed ‘Subtle Muscle Testing –Parts I & II courses with Dr. Camden Clay. One of the first things Myrna learned, was the ability to evaluate a client’s posture, balance and gait. This certification further enables assurance to improving, validating and making weak muscles strong. In addition to, locating and correcting interference with the use of muscle palpations; coupled with the movement of life’s fluids & energies –make most weak muscles instantly strong.
