Education Requirements
- 625 education hours from a board-approved massage therapy school.
These hours must include:

- 400 hours minimum dedicated to the study of massage therapy techniques and clinical practicum-related modalities
- 175 hours maximum dedicated to anatomy and physiology that may be taught in real-time synchronous or asynchronous distance learning
- 10 hours minimum dedicated to Louisiana law, rules, and ethics that may be taught in real-time synchronous distance learning
- 400 hours minimum dedicated to the study of massage therapy techniques and clinical practicum-related modalities

Any remaining hours required may include but not be limited to marketing, first aid, and subjects related to providing massage therapy
