Description
The Massage Therapy certificate program at Berkshire Community College prepares students to become Massachusetts State Licensed Massage Therapists with the skills and knowledge to provide therapeutic relaxation and wellness massage. Massage therapy program courses provide small class-size and student-centered faculty. Program courses also include opportunity to study with students from other disciplines. Student life outside of the classroom is rich in variety of clubs and sports teams to enhance the learning experience. The Massage Therapy Program cycles every other year. A new class starts September 2018!
In addition to students seeking a full massage therapy program, out-of-state practitioners may need hours to meet Massachusetts regulations, and students may be pursuing a degree or integrating professions/disciplines.
- Full Program: provides the knowledge, physical competencies and professional skills needed to apply for Massachusetts licensure and enter an entry-level career in massage therapy.
- Specific Topics/Hours: provides academic and clinical hours for those seeking licensure in Massachusetts who are already licensed elsewhere and need additional massage therapy education, or those who missed the ‘grandfather’ window, to meet MA Board of Registration educational licensure requirements.
- Bridge: provides foundational professional skills applicable across health-care disciplines for students pursuing a two-year degree or preparing for a another program.
We look forward to hearing from you!
