About Kay

"Nothing Replaces the Powser Of Touch"

I'm Nationally Certified in massage by www.NCBTMB.org, an independent test seperate from your school that is a credential in the massage industry, and is mandatory in 48 out of 50 states. CA doesn't require it as part of licensure, this state only counts hours of training for it's state certification. Being a CMT only means you've completed a program that has been approved by the state. However, one must qulaify to be accepted to take the NCBTMB exam for the profession. It is a set curriculum that demonstrates one's ability to work on a variety of people, know the limits of massage and when to refer to other health professionals and proper draping, cautions and contra-indications to massage. This curriculum starts with Anatiomy and Physiology for a year at the college level, Kinesiology, Pathology of the skin, Swedish,m Sports, Pregnancy, Deep Tissue, and Asian techniques such as accupressure, and shiatsu. It often includes aromatherapy, and ethics and boundaries is a major part of the professional exam also. I'm also a professinoal member of The American Massage Therapy Association which requires a minimum number of hours of 500, it's the highest level of professioanl liability insurance available in the industry and again a therapist must qualify to join.

Please tell me your preferences, and give feedback  when needed.

I hope to feel you soon.
