About
I decided to pursue a career in massage therapy after having a vivd dream about stealing the 3 cursed amethysts that gave power to the restaurant I was scooping soup at. I have been a Registered Massage Practitioner in the state of Maryland since September 2018.
Though my training at Cortiva Institute’s Baltimore Campus revolved mainly around Swedish massage, I like to blend anatomy- and energy-based techniques in my work; this means approaching each client both physically and spiritually, addressing both aspects of the pain experience. Clients have described my work as intuitive, attentive, and highly detailed; my hands listen to find the root of whatever stress or pain brings you to my table. I want people to leave my treatment space not only moving more comfortably and freely, but also feeling grounded and connected with their bodies in a way that allows them to fully experience the present moment.
As a trans massage therapist, part of my vision is to create a safe healing space for gender non-conforming, nonbinary, and trans clients. I know that for many of us, visits to healthcare and wellness practitioners can all too often be awkward, embarrassing, or even traumatizing when education and respect around non-normative bodies is lacking. With an emphasis on consent and listening, I strive to create a welcoming and non-judgmental environment for anyone who chooses to seek out my work, regardless of their identity.
I generally work silently, unless my client initiates a conversation. Of course, I always want to hear if something is uncomfortable or feels off; you know your body best! You can expect me to check in occasionally throughout the session to ensure my level of pressure is painless and effective for you.
Outside of my massage practice, my hands stay creative. I’m the writer of a professionally produced short film and a handful of published poems. I also create visual art and read tarot cards.
