After many years of sitting at a desk in front of a computer I realized how much damage we do to our bodies when we are in this intense, crouched, stressed mode day after day. I spent a lot of time in pain and unable to get comfortable whether sitting or standing. It was when I started getting regular massages that I began to get in touch with my body and what was really going on as I sat in that chair for hours and hours each day.

With regular bodywork,  slowly but surely I found my muscles were looser, joints were opening up, nerves were decompressing, and I remembered how a healthy body actually could feel and move. I realized that I did not actually have to hurt all of the time. I was so impressed with what bodywork can do for such a wide range of physical issues that I became a manual therapist myself.

I do now believe that it is not inevitable that we endure being stiff and achy and limited just because we work long hours at a desk or because our body has gotten a little older. It takes listening to what our bodies are trying to tell us and doing the things that we need to do to keep ourselves strong, flexible and energetic. The primary goal of my bodywork is to help my clients find this healthy body inside themselves, as well.

Along with standard massage modalities I also offer Orthopedic Massage, Palliative massage, and Level One Burn Scar Therapy.
