About Doug

The focus of my practice is to teach my clients how to focus their own body's healing ability on the neuromuscular dysfunctions (including "trigger points") that limit them.  My physical approach is exceptionally gentle, as I include myself in a conversation with your body's Central Nervous System, proceeding based upon what your body tells me.  I educate during each session, giving you a frame of reference to understand what I am doing and more importantly, what you can do to get your own mechanisms engaged where you most need them.  The principles are as ancient as yoga (stretching with breathing), and as modern as the biopsychosocial model's application in Pain Science.

I am a California Massage Therapy Council Certified Massage Therapist (CAMTC #44401).  I am an Honors Graduate of both the National Holistic Institute's 900-hour Certification as a Massage Therapist and Health Educator, and of NHI's 450-hour Certification as an Advanced Neuromuscular Massage Therapist (ANMT).

I am currently seeing new clients only through Preston Wynne.
