Techniques for Sports Massage Therapists (Hands-on)

Allison Griffith has a B.S. in exercise science from the College of Charleston and is a licensed massage therapist. She was a resident massage therapist with the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team and has also worked with the American Volleyball Professionals, Women’s Tennis Association and other various teams and university athletic departments.

Learn techniques, contraindications and other valuable information to take your sports massage career to the next level. Receive hands-on instruction—including a case study approach to help a shoulder injury—and tips to help you succeed in this specialty. 

Can be taken on its own or as part of the AMTA/NCBTMB Sports Massage Specialty Certificate Program.

Techniques for Sports Massage Therapists (Hands-on), 8 Credit Hours

Steve Jurch has worked clinical or sports massage environment for 20 years and has taught massage therapy for 17 years. He has a master’s in sports medicine and authored a clinical massage textbook.
