Energizing National Convention Inspires Attendees!

The AMTA 2012 National Convention, October 3-6, in Raleigh, North Carolina, brought together 1,400 motivated members of the massage therapy community for three days of energizing speakers, networking and industry-leading education.

Keynote speaker Molly Barker, founder of Girls on the Run International, kicked off the convention with her touching story on how she continues to change lives on a daily basis through her thriving organization. Convention go-ers took advantage of the opportunity to earn more than 20 hours of continuing education credit through hands-on courses, research classes, business-focused sessions and other specialized courses and workshops. Attendees explored a wealth of state-of-the-art products and services at the AMTA Exhibits Marketplace and met up with friends, old and new, at countless networking events.

The convention closed with an eye-opening and interactive panel featuring recognized leaders in integrative health care. The experts discussed how massage therapists can eleveate the profession through increased colloboration with the medical community.

There is an energy surrounding the massage therapy profession and it was palpable last month in Raleigh! Thanks to everyone who helped to make the AMTA National Convention a success, including attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, the AMTA North Carolina Chapter and AMTA members.
