New Jersey Raises Minimum Education Hours for Massage Therapists

On July 9, Assembly Bill 4587 was enacted into law, increasing the minimum education hours for entry-level massage therapists in New Jersey from 500 to 600 hours.

This change was led by New Jersey's education community. Schools currently offering programs below the new 600-hour requirement will be granted a grace period to meet the updated standards.
