We are excited to share that AMTA has won a 2026 Gold Hermes Creative Award and a Communicator Award of Distinction for our Innovative Educational Content Campaign: “Ready. Set. MBLEx®!”  As an organization dedicated to advancing the massage therapy profession and supporting the next generation of massage therapists, these awards underscore our commitment to student success by providing access to high-quality educational tools and resources.

The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition that recognizes excellence in traditional and emerging media. Administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), the competition receives over 6,000 entries annually from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising and PR agencies, design studios, production companies, and freelancers across the United States, Canada, and more than two dozen other countries.

With thousands of entries received from across the United States and around the globe, The Communicator Awards remains one of the largest and most competitive programs honoring excellence in marketing, communication and creative work.

Receiving both the Hermes and Communicator Awards for our MBLEx video series is a true honor,” says AMTA National President Rick Greely. It reflects the meaningful work we do on behalf of massage schools and their students—who are the future of the profession. These awards highlight our dedication to providing top-tier education and study strategies for students that elevate the massage therapy profession.”

About AMTA’s Educational Content Campaign

On average, only 70% of MBLEx test-takers pass the exam on their first attempt. By comparison, physical therapy students typically achieve significantly higher first-time pass rates on their licensure exam. To help close this gap, AMTA developed the six-part video series “Ready. Set. MBLEx.” This series provides massage therapy students with free study strategies, self-care tips, and practical exam insights designed to support their success.

With the generous support of Massage Envy, AMTA was able to bring this impactful series to life. As Massage Envy's Senior Vice President, Brand Experience, Diane Cooley, shares, “Supporting the next generation of massage therapists is essential to the future of the profession, and we’re proud to help provide resources that empower students to succeed.”

As an educational content campaign, the MBLEx Study Series was created to reduce the stress of exam preparation while enhancing student outcomes. The series helps students reach the finish line faster—and more efficiently—by making the testing process feel more manageable and less intimidating.

Featuring engaging visuals and straightforward strategies, the six videos—“Welcome to Your Future!” “Ready. Set. MBLEx!” “Study Smart with AMTA,” “Self-Care Aware,” “License to Lead,” and “Let’s Go Pro”—work together to demystify this important exam. Each video offers actionable steps to help students feel prepared, confident, and ready on test day.

The ultimate goal: to make the MBLEx more accessible and less daunting, helping more massage therapy students succeed on their first attempt and confidently step into their professional future.

Receiving the Hermes Gold Award and the Communicator Award of Distinction for the MBLEx video series reinforces our mission to advance education standards across the profession and support the success of future massage practitioners. This marks the sixth consecutive year that AMTA has received a Hermes Award and the fourth time we’ve earned a Communicator Award.
