After a cancer diagnosis in 2008 left her reeling - physically, mentally & emotionally, Amy left a successful career as a CPA to work diligently on regaining her health. She spent the next several years mastering the professional bodywork skills required to share her experience by helping others through massage, yoga & bodywork.
Understanding the need for private wellness services, Amy created the Iaomai Center in 2012 in her native Knoxville, Tennessee and led a multidisciplinary professional therapist team dedicated to providing the highest level of services for personal healing and wellbeing.
In 2015 she accepted an invitation to join the world renowned Wellhouse team at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee. There she personally provided private yoga, meditation and massage services to some of the world’s most sophisticated and discriminating guests.
With a new opportunity for professional growth in 2018, Amy sailed east to Oriental, the sailing capital of North Carolina, where she led the spa start-up, development and launch for Natural Elements Spa & Wellness at River Dunes, a master planned community on the Intracoastal Waterway.
With the advent of Blackberry Mountain in 2019 (and after personally experiencing two hurricanes in less than two years), Amy decided it was right to return to her mountain roots at Nest. - the highly lauded spa at Blackberry Mountain. Here she provides tailored bodywork services to guests as well as cultivates continuing education programs, quality control initiatives and spa and wellness protocols.
Amy is happily married to her very best friend, enjoys every opportunity to sail (Hinterhoeller Nonsuch) and spending quality time with her fur family. You can reach Amy at firstname.lastname@example.org
