Shiatsu for Health, is a massage studio located in downtown Portland. Tina Rea, owner and founder of Shiatsu for Health has been a Licensed Shiatsu Massage Practitioner for over 20 years.
Shiatsu is traditional Japanese massage that means finger pressure. Unlike Swedish or western massage that use oils and lotions to stroke and rub the skin and soft tissue, Shiatsu is done through light clothing, using firm, rhythmic pressure from my hands, thumbs and fingers.
In addition to my work at Shiatsu for Health, I also work at The Immune Enhancement Project, an auto-immune clinic in Portland. My work at the clinic has increased my understanding about illness and it’s effects on the body, which help me to better serve all of my clients.
At Shiatsu for Health, my goal is to help you reduce pain, increase movement, decrease the effects of stress while increasing your immune system.
