I graduated with honors from the Southeastern Institute School of Massage in August of 2010; Where I was trained in Swedish and Clinical Neuromuscular Massage Therapy. Since graduating I have been certified in Level I & 2 Reiki and plan to continue until reaching Master level. I have been certified in Prone, Supine and Sitting, Thai Assisted Yoga Massage techniques which I perform alone and incorporate bits of into all of my sessions. I have most recently added Structural Integration into my practice, and continue to take classes to improve my technique.
I grew up on Long Island NY, received a BFA in sculpture from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a K -12 teaching certificate in Art from Buffalo State College. I continue to create art; mostly pen and ink drawings and paintings. I've recently published a series of books which fall into the paranormal fantasy romance genre. I like to think of it as sculpting with words.
I spent a year in Ghana West Africa, teaching art at the Bechem School for the Deaf where I met her husband, a fellow teacher from Michigan. We lived in Detroit MI for 5 years before moving here to the south Charlotte area with my husband and two children.
I opened Ta'Liah Massage in the Fall of 2012, after having worked for two years with a chiropractic firm in Gaston County.
