Marastella Mercer is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Postural Alignment Specialist with over 20 years’ experience primarily working with Chiropractors and Physical Therapy patients, post and pre-rehab to help clients maximize their wellness potential. She understands the tolls life events can have on the body. She has personal experience being treated and helping many ailments, relieving pain symptoms at the source.Throughout her massage career, Marastella has learned that no two sessions are alike. Everyone has their own set of life experiences and a unique relationship to their body, which deeply affects their personal massage style preferences and needs. This understanding has enabled Marastella to utilize her training and extensive life experience to tailor each massage session to the needs of her clients.She loves blending styles and using the tools she knows to better fit the needs of her clients. From treatment oriented bodywork including Deep Tissue, NMT/Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy Techniques (METs), Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) to more of the soothing, relaxing and circulatory Swedish Massage.Marastella graduated from the Massage program at Milan Institute in California in 2001 She is licensed in California, Colorado and Georgia. She has additional education from Whitney Lowe’s Orthopedic Massage Training, the Central Florida School of Massage Therapy in Orlando, Florida, and The Egoscue Institute in San Diego, California. She also is a Certified Ashiatsu Therapist, Certified Sarga Bodyworker and has had training in Prenatal, Cranial Sacral, Shiatsu and Reiki One Healing. Prior to Massage, Marastella attended CalArts College in Valencia California and Merced Junior College in California with a focus on the arts.Marastella’s gifts range far and wide; her presence, smile and welcoming demeanor will always make you feel at ease.
