About Eric

Eric Derrico, owner and massage therapist at Boston Massage Associates, is passionate about making the world a better muscle at a time. When Eric was in high school, he enjoyed practicing the techniques he learned by reading his mother's books about massage and anatomy. He knew by the feedback he received that he had a gift for the work. He attended the Massage Institute of New England. After working at the Athena Aveda Salon and Spa and Boston Bodyworker, Eric decided to launch his own practice where he would have the opportunity to create the optimal healing environment for his clients.

By integrating a unique blend of Thai Bodywork, Deep Tissue, and Classic Swedish techniques, Eric alleviates tension, reduces pain, increases energy and promotes the body's natural ability to heal itself. Eric combines his use of his intuition with his extensive knowledge of body work to bring about a sense of health and well being in his clients.

In addition to his passion for body work, Eric enjoys surfing, philanthropy, rescuing dogs, hiking and is an active environmentalist. He created the Clean Beach Initiative to organize beach clean ups in Massachusetts. Eric has been selected as the massage therapist to provide pre and post race massages for BA Event Promotions. Eric volunteered his time and talents for the runners at Lexs Run and the Pan Mass Challenge. He organized massage fund raisers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Doctors Without Borders and a Boston Marathon runner for Childrens Hospita
