About Deana
My work is a combination of Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Shiatsu, and Swedish work, geared holistically toward each individual client. I have over sixteen years experience as a body worker, which has allowed me time to develop acute sensitivity and touch. My practice has a focus on Women and Women's Health, Post Surgical work, In Hospital work*, Pre and Post Natal work, Depression, Stress Relief and Pain Management, all with a focus on nurturance. I work with all modalities of Massage Therapy but have advanced certifications in Prenatal (including high risk pregnancy), Postpartum and Infant Massage work.
I am Nationally Certified, licensed and a professional member of the AMTA. I am also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, and offer private and group classes.
*Since 2002 I have been working at Prentice Women's Hospital in Chicago, where I developed an in room Pre and Post Natal Massage Program.
