Your Session with Joy
Joy's luxurious studio features an extra wide, memory foam topped massage table to for maximum comfort and to encourage deep calming. The treatment table can be heated or not per your preference.
Using her extensive knowledge and experience, Joy blends multiple modalities to offer outstanding client centered care.
About Joy
Born and raised in New Jersey, Joy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and then moved to Virginia, where she sustained a serious and painful injury. While recovering, Massage Therapy provided astoundingly positive results and her life was forever changed.
After earning her Massage Therapy license in 1984, Joy spent 15 years working closely with a perinatalogist in Virginia treating individuals with high-risk pregnancies.
In 2007, Joy relocated to California. Following a year and a half on staff at the Esalen Institute, she opened her current therapeutic massage practice in downtown Monterey.
She has also worked as a massage provider in several of the world's most esteemed spas — The Spa at Pebble Beach, and at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn.
