Brian D.F. Richmond, B.S.P.H,, M.P.H., LMT, is a State of Maryland Certified Massage Therapist who received his initial 600-hours of training from the Potomac Massage Training Institute. For each massage session, his goal is to deliver a relaxing environment and therapeutic practice which can optimize a client’s wellness and natural healing process. Brian is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and regularly takes advantage of AMTA conferences and online courses to enhance his range of massage skills. Aligned with the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand, he is also a graduate of the Thai Institute of Healing Arts (Shivagakomarpaj lineage). Brian specializes in Swedish/Deep Tissue, Hot stone, Thai, and Sports Massage. He worked with the U.S. Peace Corps in a dozen different countries, speaks English, Spanish and West African Krio, and is dedicated to serving a wide diversity of clients, respecting differences in race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identification, language, national origin, body types, and able-body challenges. Brian is a former emergency medical technician, burn technician, and volunteer fireman, and his doctoral studies at the University of Maryland focused on stress management and alternative medicine.
