About

Renee’ has completed 1,240 hours of massage therapy training and 800 hours of yoga teacher training. Her first massage therapy certification came from the California School of The Physical Arts in Huntington Beach, California. In May of 2000, she completed 600 hours of instruction in massage education, sports massage, and techniques. She received her massage license in Big Bear Lake, California. Renee’ spent the next ten years offering out-call massage services to the resort hotels and providing sports massage for athletes competing in NORBA mountain bike races. She worked with boxers, training in high altitude, adventure racers, and runners. She is grateful to have played a part in supporting her clients in reaching their athletic goals.Renee’s passion for supporting athletes in alignment and performance did not stop there. She completed a 500-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Scott Miller of Western Yoga College. Learning yoga techniques, methodology, philosophy, and anatomy qualified her to be an instructor of Hatha Yoga. Renee’ opened a yoga studio and combined massage therapy and yoga as a complimentary practice with her clients. Inspired by the results from massage, she knew combining yoga would create a more sustainable body. That practice resulted in her clients living pain-free with a full range of motion. On Kauai Renee’ completed a 300-hour YogAlign Posture Educator Teacher Training at Kauai Yoga School with Michaelle Edwards, creator of The YogAlign Method. The Yogalign Method is simply the art of being in your body and breath. Learning body posture assessment, breathing evaluation and instruction, functional movement, and self-massage.For six years, Renee’ offered several well-attended weekly YogAlign Posture Education classes. She worked with osteoporosis, arthritis, injury recovery, hypermobility, and forward head carriage. Renee’ supported and witnessed her students trusting their bodies and living sustainable lifestyles. Renee’ received her Hawaii state massage license after attending Maui Academy of The Healing Arts in Paia on Maui, Hawaii. In January of 2023, she completed 640 hours in the instruction of therapeutic massage and bodywork. She wanted to take it to the next level and passed the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx) administered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. Renee’ is working on adding Watsu to her toolbox. Watsu is aquatic hydrotherapy for rehabilitation, combining elements of shiatsu massage and water for physical and emotional healing. She has completed basic Watsu certification with practitioner and instructor Paul Rich LMT, Ph.D. through WABA Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association.
