Gina Kretschmer

My passion for bodywork began when I stumbled into a yoga class in 2003. It was the first time I was able to quiet my mind and feel what was going on within me on a physical and emotional level.  This sparked a flame and I began to explore other healing modalities such as massage therapy and energy work, beginning a long journey into living a more embodied life. 

I decided I was ready to shift from the place of the receiver into that of the giver and moved to Jacksonville, NC and attend Porters Neck Yoga and Spa for my Yoga Alliance RYT 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. My interests continued to grow and decided to pursue a career in yoga and massage therapy. I attended my massage therapy training and have not looked back.

I believe that optimal healing occurs when a deep knowledge of anatomy and alignment is coupled with an open and compassionate heart. Integrative bodywork weaves techniques from different modalities including swedish massage, deep tissue, sports massage, neuromuscular therapy and therapeutic massage, customizing each session to meet the client’s individual needs.

My goal is to provide a space where one is able to tune in to his or her body, thus empowering the clients by making them active participants in their health and wellness. Healing comes from within, so whether dealing with chronic or acute pain or looking to de-stress, I am honored to be able to play a role in this life-enhancing process.
