Hello! My name is Cara, and I am a Certified Massage Therapist with 13 years of experience now serving the people of La Jolla and San Diego. I'm from Chicago, born and raised, received my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, and received my massage education at Cortiva Institute-Chicago School of Massage Therapy. Cortiva Institute's massage therapy curriculum has guided me to becoming a well-rounded massage therapist.I prefer to work in my client's home. I think that is definitely creates a special bond between the therapist and the client, especially when the client doesn't have to go out of their way for good, healthy bodywork. At home you share a sacred space for your session, and I find that space to be enlightening every time I work with someone. I strive to make solid treatment plans with my clients in order to best fit their lifestyles and movement patterns. If you're a runner, or if you normally sit at a computer for hours at work, the massage is going to be different.Communication throughout the massage is a beautiful thing. That way we are both in the experience together, and I can know and improve what my touch feels like for you! As of now I am working in San Diego, and am deeply enjoying it. I love providing Swedish massages, but I thrive on more interactive sessions with stretches, neuromuscular techniques, and helping your body reset itself. Your body already knows what to do.
