I’ve been practicing Massage Therapy since 1983, when I graduated from Heartwood institute near Garberville, CA. I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology, and extensive additional myofascial bodywork training. I specialize in clinical pain and injury treatment. Engaging resistance beyond the pain threshold is counterproductive in most cases, so I prefer a precise, gentle approach, focusing on your your most pressing problems. I rarely use oil or lotion, relying on combining pressure and movement to enhance comfort and increase flexibility. Most treatments are performed with the patient fully clothed.

I currently see many patients with repetitive strain and ergonomic injuries, especially from long hours spent at a computer. I worked in the Occupational Health Centers at Intel for six years in an early intervention and Workers' Compensation program, where I developed several assessment and treatment techniques for specific hand, arm, wrist, and shoulder complaints.

As a healthcare practitioner, I have an ethical duty to protect my patients' health and safety. Therefore, I wear an N95 respirator for all patient contacts, I have a high-capacity HEPA filter in the treatment room, and I disinfect my table and tools after each use.
