Pre-Convention Workshops

8am-5pm | 8 Credit Hours

Immerse yourself in one of these intensive hands-on Pre-Convention Workshops designed to grow your massage therapy skill set.

Fundamentals of Fascial Therapy (Hands-on)

Pete Pfannerstill, BCTMB, has been a licensed sports massage therapist since 1997. The founder of UltraSports Massage Therapy, Inc. in Tampa, he specializes in myofascial sports massage, structural integration and the Kinesio Taping® method. As a NCBTMB approved provider, Pete teaches myofascial sports massage courses and the Kinesio Taping® method as a certified Kinesio Taping® instructor.

Take an inside look at practical applications of fascial therapy. Explore various styles, techniques and philosophies of fascial therapy, and the physiological responses of both the fascia and the rest of the body to the techniques.

Note: This is part of an in-depth AMTA CE program outlining fundamental fascial therapy information and techniques.

Materials required: Please plan to bring or share a massage table if you select this class. Storage will be provided.

Headaches and Migraines: Myofascial Techniques (Hands-on)

Til Luchau is the author of Advanced Myofascial Techniques, Vol 1. A Certified Advanced Rolfer, he was on the faculty of the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration for over 20 years. He teaches internationally and is the director of Advanced-Trainings.com.

Learn the many different types of headaches, as well as the different sources associated with each so you can more effectively work with clients who need relief from headache and migraine pain. Hands-on work will help participants more fully understand how what helps with one headache may actually make another worse.

Materials required: Please plan to bring or share a massage table if you select this class. Storage will be provided.

Online registration is closed. Register on-site at the convention starting August 8.
