Save the Date for the 2016 International Massage Therapy Research Conference

Mark your calendars for May 12-15, 2016!  We will proudly be hosting the 2016 International Massage Therapy Research Conference (IMTRC) which will take place at the Renaissance ® Seattle Hotel in Seattle, Washington. This is the Foundation's fourth research conference, which brings together massage and manual therapy practitioners, educators, CIM researchers, and allied health professionals. Attendees will have the chance to attend a variety of speeches and classes spotlighting the latest cutting edge massage therapy scientific research. We are currently accepting scientific submissions. The theme for the 2016 conference is “Integrating Therapies for Pain”. However, submissions may be in any of the categories listed in the guidelines document. Apply to Join the 2016 Team MTF – Running for Research

John Hancock has once again awarded the Massage Therapy Foundation with three bibs for the Boston Marathon, set to take place in April of 2016! We are now taking applications for runners who would like to participate in one of the world’s largest marathons all while raising money for  
the massage therapy profession. Last year the amazing team included John Combe, Nathan Nordstrom, and Angie Parris-Raney. Get in gear and put on your running shoes to support the Foundation. The application deadline is November 15, 2015. Applications are available by clicking

International Journal of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (IJTMB)

The Massage Therapy Foundation is pleased to provide the “International Journal of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork: Research, Education, & Practice” (IJTMB). IJTMB is an online, peer-reviewed, open access scientific journal for the therapeutic massage and bodywork profession, and is available free of subscription fees and contributing author charges.  The journal is now in its sixth year of publication. It is an indispensable resource for members of the massage and bodywork profession as well as for related health-care professionals.
