New Massage Therapy Foundation Website Is Live

We are pleased to announce that our website has a new look. A big thank you to the team at SpinWeb for their ingenuity, generosity and hard work. As a member of the massage therapy industry, you will be able to get up-to-date information on what we believe in most: advancing the knowledge and practice of massage therapy by supporting scientific research, education, and community service.

2014 Grants and Contests Now Open

The Foundation offers many opportunities to advance research about massage therapy. Three different options are available:
• Research Grants-funds research studies investigating the beneficial applications of massage therapy. Deadline to apply: Monday, March 3, 2014.
• Community Service Grants-awarded to charitable organizations that provide massage therapy to those having no or little access to such services. Deadline to apply: Tuesday, April 1, 2014.
• Practitioner and Student Case Report Contests-intended to enhance professional development and research skills. Deadline to apply: Practitioner Case Reports-Wednesday, October 1, 2014, Student Case Reports-Monday, June, 2, 2014.

Basics of Research Literacy (BRL) is an online continuing education course for all massage practitioners and educators, offered in partnership with Education and Training Solutions. You can explore the basics of incorporating principles of research literacy into your practice or school curriculum at your own pace.
