Message From AMTA President Glenath Moyle - Welcome to My Hometown Portland!
October is a big month for AMTA members! I would like thank all of you who have signed up for the AMTA 2011 National Convention here in my hometown of Portland, Oregon, October 19-22. You are in for a fantastic treat with 20+ hours of the profession’s best continuing education, the extensive exhibits marketplace and our opening ceremony featuring the inspiring Kevin Carroll. Don’t forget to build time into your schedule to explore Portland and all that this one-of-a-kind city has to offer, including our beautiful parks, gardens, tax-free shopping and so much more.
If you haven’t registered yet, don’t worry—there’s sill time to join us. Register onsite at the convention center for education or purchase an exhibits marketplace pass.
I also want to remind all members that the week following convention is National Massage Therapy Awareness Week. This special week, October 23-29, is the perfect opportunity for you to reach out to your community and demonstrate your professionalism and skills and how AMTA members are integral to health care and wellness. I encourage you to check out the website for ideas on how you can participate.
In the meantime, I look forward to personally welcoming you to Portland as we Envision the Future, Experience the Present and Embrace the Past!
