October Issue: AMTA President Interviewed by 15 Radio Stations Nationwide

AMTA President Kathleen Miller-Read was interviewed by 15 radio stations nationwide and online radio broadcasts October 4 and 5 about massage therapy and AMTA’s connection with Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure™. The interviews touched on AMTA’s partnership with Energizer, the presenting sponsor for the Susan G Komen 3-Day for the Cure events, and the involvement of AMTA members in providing massage for walk participants. This followed the distribution of a standardized print media article describing the benefits of massage therapy and how massage can benefit those with cancer.

In the interviews, Miller-Read brought special attention to new research funded by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine on the biological benefits of massage and how massage has become better understood by consumers over the past 20 years.

Kathleen Miller-Read also will be interviewed live October 12, 2010 on WRBH-AM radio for the Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL area. Tune in at 3:05-3:15 pm/ET for the “Heartbeat Radio for Women” show.
