The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) announces that registration for its national convention, to be held in Raleigh, North Carolina from October 3 to 6, is now available online. All massage therapists and students are welcome at the convention and encouraged to take advantage of early-bird rates for registration. The AMTA convention continues to be the largest gathering of massage therapists, students and product companies in the massage therapy profession.
The theme of the convention is Elevate, to inspire attendees to take advantage of the highest quality education and networking in the profession, to elevate their careers and the massage therapy profession. Thought-provoking speakers will stimulate this dialogue and give attendees tools they can use immediately in their practices. Continuing education sessions fill up early and massage therapists are encouraged to register early to ensure they can attend every session of their choice.
Attendees will have access to more than 35 courses of continuing education, including special programming options for teachers, researchers, students and practitioners working in health care environments. The convention will feature the first ever closing keynote panel, which will bring together experts in the fields of health and wellness to discuss collaboration in managing pain and focusing on patient-centered care. And, attendees will have an opportunity to participate in comprehensive pre- and post-convention educational workshops, as well as AMTA’s third annual off-site immersion program. This will include an innovative case study in integrative health and wellness care tied to major health care and educational institutions in the heart of North Carolina’s Research Triangle.
