2016 Rio Paralympian Joins AMTA National Convention Closing Session

AMTA is excited to announce a new panelist for the AMTA 2016 National Convention Closing Session: Bringing Home the Gold: Olympians + Massage Therapy.

Paralympian Alicia Dana will join elite athletes Bonnie Blair, Kerri Strug and Abby Wambach on Saturday, October 29 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Mayo Clinic’s Dr. Brent Bauer will moderate the discussion and explain the science of massage for athletes.

About Alicia Dana

Alicia Dana made her first U.S. Paralympics Cycling National Team in 2001 and is competing this year in Rio in the hand-cycling/road events. She will talk about her experience as a para-athlete and the role massage therapy is playing in her training and fitness regimen.

Alicia will replace David Randall of Team Roger C. Peace who is unable to attend the session.
