Your Bridge to Success

Focusing on the theme “Your Bridge to Success”, this year’s educational opportunities are aimed at providing practical information to keep schools competitive and help attendees better navigate the issues impacting massage therapy schools. Highlights of this year’s meeting will include expert insight into the impact on schools of Title IV financial aid funding changes, as well as education sessions on teaching to multiple intelligences and the development of rubrics.

As in past years, there will be a presentation and open dialog on AMTA’s annual state of the profession research report. Attendees will receive the report in advance of the Summit to foster open dialogue on its content at the meeting. All other AMTA School members will receive the report after the Summit.

School owners, administrators and educators are invited to join AMTA for the opportunity to:

  • Share in frank, inclusive dialog with your peers and AMTA to find innovative solutions to the issues massage schools are facing.
  • Hear and discuss the latest research on trends affecting the massage therapy profession and massage schools.
  • Gain practical knowledge for strategies that can be implemented in your massage school.

For more than a decade, AMTA annual school meetings have examined practical skills for massage schools. Beginning in 2010, the Schools Summit approach has also included focus on developing massage educator skills.
