AMTA Remembrance of September 11, 2001

As the people of the United States prepare to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, it also is a time to remember those massage therapists who gave so much of themselves to support those involved in rescue and recovery during such difficult times. The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) extends its sincere appreciation to its members and all other massage therapists who provided massage to those affected by the tragedy. Their efforts are an example of the spirit of our association and the heart of massage therapy. On behalf of our board of directors and our members, I want to thank all of you for the services you gave. You are a credit to our profession.
