The new AMTA Mentoring Program helps those new to the profession more fully realize their potential in the massage profession and provides experienced massage therapists the opportunity to share their wisdom and expand their professional network. Learn how you can participate in this program. So far, nearly 300 AMTA members have volunteered their time and expertise to serve as mentors in the program.
Experienced massage therapists (mentors) assist those new to the profession (mentees) in goal setting, communication and success planning. AMTA members interested in becoming mentors should complete an online profile. Those wishing to become mentees can search for mentors based on location, skills, work setting, and other criteria.
Participants in the mentoring relationship will communicate each other’s expectations, create goals and objectives, meet milestones and deliverables, and provide feedback. The Mentoring Program includes resources to assist and guide program participants.
Sign up as a mentor or become a mentee and, along with advancing your network or career, enjoy lasting friendships and the fun of sharing with other massage therapists.
