Nevada Board of Massage Therapy

Education Requirements

• 625 education hours from a board-approved massage therapy school.

These hours must include:

• • • At least 220 hours of instruction which is taken in a classroom setting with hands-on instruction in assessment, theory and application instruction, which must include at least 80 hours in clinical instruction
      
      

    • At least 125 hours of instruction in the body’s systems, including, without limitation, anatomy, physiology and kinesiology
      
      

    • At least 125 hours of instruction in other courses of massage therapy in a classroom setting with hands-on instruction
      
      

    • At least 40 hours of instruction in pathology
      
      

    • At least 40 hours of instruction in business or ethics
