Description

The Philadelphia School of Massage and Bodywork’s Massage Therapy Program provides its students with a quality education with an emphasis on compassionate and professional care.  Our well-rounded curriculum was created by massage therapists, for massage therapists, and offers various complementary modalities, science, and business courses to provide its students with the necessary tools and knowledge to become successful in the field of massage therapy.

Upon completion of the 600-hour Massage Therapy and Bodywork Program, students will be trained to be proficient in assessing clients and their needs, have the ability to perform a full body massage using Swedish and deep tissue techniques, be able to analyze their client’s condition and create effective treatment plans based on their assessment and within their scope of practice, and know how to accurately document their treatments using SOAP note charting methods.  Students will also be able to recommend appropriate self-care practices to assist clients in maintaining their health.

PSMB’s program will prepare its graduates to pass the MBLEX examination, which is a requirement in gaining PA state licensure for massage therapy, and will provide post-graduate support during the PA state licensure process.   The education provided by PSMB will enable students to find employment in various wellness-oriented business settings, such as chiropractic offices, wellness centers, and spas, or students may choose to start their own independent massage therapy business.
