Call for Speakers

AMTA's 2018 Call for Speakers is now open!

Submit your application by June 7 to be considered for AMTA opportunites such as the AMTA 2018 National Convention, the AMTA 2018 Schools Summit and online CE courses. Speaker proposals are welcomed from a broad range of topics, including: 

  • Business
  • Ethics
  • Massage and Health Care
  • Hands-On Techniques
  • Research and Massage Therapy Education
  • Teacher/School Administrator

Education Opportunities

AMTA National Convention 

The AMTA 2018 National Convention will be held on August 9-11, 2018 in Washington, DC. AMTA National Convention is the largest event in the massage profession for massage therapists, educators and students.  

AMTA Massage Therapy Schools Summit

The AMTA 2018 Massage Therapy Schools Summit will be held in February 2018. Attendees are massage teachers, administrative staff, school owners and continuing education providers. 

AMTA Online Courses

AMTA offers high quality dynamic online continuing education. Online courses can take two formats:

  • The first is text based and requires the ability to produce 15-20 pages of written and properly cited material that will be adapted into an online course.
  • The second format uses audio, video and/or webinar technology to create a dynamic learning experience. 


Review Procedure

Applications are peer reviewed by a group of committees comprised of massage therapists with experience in education. Committees are provided with the proposals along with relevant survey and evaluation data to guide them in their decision-making. Submissions are due June 7, 2017.
