Description
The Massage Therapy Program at Palm Beach State College is designed to prepare students for employment as licensed massage therapists. In a therapeutic training lab, hydrotherapy lab and clinical environment, students will practice Swedish massage as well as a variety of allied modalities. Practice in the lab and with clients in a public student clinic prepares our students for “real world” experience. Students will learn how to gather client information, assess client needs, perform client-centered massage sessions and complete medical documentation in the form of SOAP note charting.The goal of the Massage Therapy Program is to provide high quality, employment-focused workforce training designed to meet the changing needs of our diverse community. Program completers are eligible to take the National Certification for Therapeutic Massage examination or the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards examination for Florida State licensure.We have amazing students who go on to work for fantastic companies such as The Breakers, Boca resort, and more! Our entire course is very affordable at under $3,000! We also accept financial aid. We have some of the highest pass rate averages in the state and in the nation.
