Specializing in pain management and ergonomics, licensed massage therapist Andrew Pickens attracts a large base of athletes and medical professionals from the Little Rock area—doctors, nurses and x-ray technicians who all work long hours under less than ideal conditions.
With poor positioning during long hours practicing in music school, Drew initially suffered from carpal tunnel and chronic shoulder pain. To address this perpetual discomfort, he sought out massage therapists who were able to effectively eliminate the pain.
Eventually, Drew decided to pursue a secondary career in bodywork, something he found equally rewarding as music. “I think that helping clients achieve their full potential is the most worthy pursuit in life,” he says, adding that he is gratified every time a client notes how much better their lives have become after treatment.
“Often, people who are living with pain simply do not have the tools needed to heal themselves,” Drew says. That's where he comes in. Each customized session with Drew features a mix of modalities, including manual manipulation of soft tissues, active and passive stretching, Swedish massage and myofascial release. He frequently offers relaxation tips and advice on self-care, and wants each individual to know they can lead pain-free lives.
Drew specializes in pain management and client self-care education, offering a range of skills that include Swedish techniques, orthopedic massage, sports massage, myofascial release and trigger point therapy.
