I graduated from the Wellness Program in 2005 at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT). I am CT state licensed and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
My training is in Integrated Structural Therapy, which consists of CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Positional Release and Visceral Manipulation. These types of therapies use a systems approach to facilitate positive changes in the body, mind and spirit. I customize each session and utilize a combination of soft tissue techniques, which help to improve mobility, relieve chronic pain patterns and reduce stress on the nervous system.
I have experience in assessment, treatment and prevention of acute and chronic pain and stress reduction. I also provide Orthopedic, Sports, Swedish and Pregnancy massage. I offer an onsite wellness service to local businesses and am available to attend health fairs, golf tournaments and other charitable and athletic events.
I am also a certified Whole Health Educator™ and have completed training in Wellness Coaching with the National Institute of Whole Health. I offer private and small group coaching for pain and stress management.
Prior to attending CCMT, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and held a career in Human Resources for 11 years. My background in Human Resources included wellness program management, recruiting, employee relations and benefits administration. For my first 5 years I worked as a Massage Therapist at a wellness center with chiropractors and physical therapists.
In 2010, I opened my own practice and currently work out of a private office in Rocky Hill.
