About Janet

Jan Freibergs has been involved with holistic health since 1977.  Her practice in Sierra Madre, California - Higher Wellness - combines massage therapies and energywork with wellness consulting.

With extensive training and experience in Neuromuscular Therapy, Shiatsu-Acupressure, and Holistic Health Facilitation as well as several energy healing modalities, she includes several different techniques in her practice: myofascial and neuromuscular work with structural integration, acupressure, cranial-sacral, and energy releasing/balancing approaches. Chi/Spirit flows are maximized through freeing blocks in chakras and along meridians, and working with the subtle flows of the human energy field.

Credentialed by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and the California Massage Therapy Council, Jan has served the American Massage Therapy Association in various capacities, as Los Angeles/South Bay Unit President, Vice-President for Education, and Secretary.

She is also a long-time member of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, which investigates the interconnections of spirit, consciousness, intuition, intelligence, and matter.

Originally from the East Coast, Jan spent several years in Europe in college and working, and now lives and practices in the Pasadena area.
