Community Service Grants
We are now accepting applications for our 2012 Community Service Grants. The MTF will award a grant of up to $5,000 to individuals working with organizations who seek to provide massage therapy to underserved populations. The deadline is April 1, 2012. The recipient of our 2011 Research Grant has been announced. Katharina Wiest of CODA, Inc. was awarded $29,998 for her study “Massage Impact on Chronic Pain in Opioid Dependent Patients.” You can read the full summary here.

Research Track CE Classes
You can still register onsite at the AMTA 2011 National Convention, which will take place in Portland, Oregon, October 19-22. There are several research-track education sessions to choose from. Visit our website for complete details. Onsite registrations are welcome!
Post Convention Workshop
After convention, stay around for the Massage Therapy Foundation's Post Convention Workshop: "Integral Anatomy Intensive" with Gil Hedley. The workshop will take place Sunday and Monday, October 23-24, and it is worth 12 CE Hours. Read the full Post-Convention class description and register onsite.

Encourage your students to enter our 2012 Case Report Contest. The contest fosters an opportunity for students to develop research skills.
