Proposed Bylaw Changes
AMTA gives all members the opportunity to voice their thoughts on proposed bylaw changes. Bylaws govern your association. Your comments are weighed by the board before any decisions are made. At its March 2011 meeting the board will consider proposed bylaw changes. Read these proposed changes and offer you comments before January 14.
Guide Your Professional Association by Voting!
Because AMTA is a member-driven organization, we rely on the support and participation of members in all aspects of the association. All AMTA Members holding Professional membership on September 15 and in good standing are eligible to participate in elections. Key upcoming dates for the elections cycle:
November 1: Election packets are emailed to eligible voters.
December 1: Completed ballots are due.
January 1: Results will be announced on the AMTA website by the first business day of the new year.
March 1: New officers assume offices. New call for candidates is issued.
Note: Scheduled dates that fall on Saturday, Sunday or holiday are moved to the next business day.

September AMTA Board of Directors Meeting Notes
The AMTA Board of Directors held its third meeting of the fiscal year on September 23 in Minneapolis. The meeting focused on several governance matters, while the board received a financial update indicating the continuing financial strength of AMTA and chose Ft. Worth, Texas, as the site for the 2013 AMTA National Convention.
