New Oklahoma Massage Therapy Licensing Act Recognizes Massage Therapy Professionals

On May 11, 2016, Governor Mary Fallin signed into law SB 687, the Massage Therapy Practice Act. This new law means Oklahoma has joined all but four states in regulating the massage therapy profession statewide.

The new law will go into effect on September 1, 2016, and massage therapists will have until May 1, 2017, to apply for the new license.
