Team Roger C. Peace Paracycling Team recently competed in the USA Cycling Professional Road, Time Trial, & Paracycling National Championships. AMTA co-sponsors the team and funds the gathering of data on the impact of massage therapy on the conditioning and performance of these professional athletes.
Team RCP earned eight National Championship jerseys and 11 medals. The team recorded four National Championship wins at the road race—a team record. Congratulations to National Champions Alicia Dana, Mark Gyulafia, Oksana Masters and David Randall!
All Team RCP athletes received massage therapy and consultation as part of the integrated plan to aid in recovery from travel stress, and in their recovery from daily competition. The massages were adapted to each individual according to the AMTA research study and designed protocols for their racing schedules.
