The Project for Integrative Health and the Triple Aim (PIHTA) is hosting a free webinar on November 6, 12pm EDT/9am PDT, on Basics on Accountable Care and the Potential for Integrative Health and Medicine.
Former Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Deputy Director for the Center for Strategic Planning Karen Milgate helped developed the concept and regulations for Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). She will discuss how Affordable Care Act reforms seek to balance "perverse incentives" toward a values-based system that open new opportunities for integrative health and medicine.
Milgate also presented as part of AMTA’s 2013 National Convention closing panel The Affordable Care Act and the Massage Profession providing insight on ACA and how it affects massage therapists. This session is offered as an online course.
