- AMTA 2013 National Convention, September 25-28 in Forth Worth, TX: AMTA’s National Convention draws more than 1,400 massage therapy practitioners, educators and students. Education sessions will focus on a broad range of topics, including: technique, working with specific populations, business, ethics, self-care and health care.
- AMTA 2013 Massage Therapy Schools Summit, February 2013 in Chicago, IL: The summit draws nearly 100 attendees each year. Attendees are teachers, administrative staff, school owners and continuing education providers.
- AMTA Online Courses: AMTA online courses follow one of two formats. The first format is text-based, and requires 15-20 pages of written and properly cited material that will be adapted into an online course. The second format uses audio, video and/or webinar technology to create a dynamic learning experience.
Review Procedure: Applications are peer reviewed by a group of committees comprised of massage therapists with experience in education. Committees are provided with the proposals along with relevant survey and evaluation data to guide them in their decision-making.
