AMTA Massage Therapy Schools Summit
To Highlight Schools, Teachers and Training Issues

Evanston, IL – The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) will hold its annual meeting for massage therapy schools and educators February 18-19, 2010. The AMTA Massage Therapy Schools Summit to be held at the TradeWinds Hotel, in St. Pete Beach, Florida is titled, “Exploring Tomorrow’s Curriculum Today”.

With the massage therapy profession and education in a period of rapid evolution, the Summit will seek input on school-related issues and provide a venue for frank, inclusive dialogue on how schools can flourish and on the need to educate massage therapy students for successful practice. There will be specific interest tracks for educators/teachers, as well as massage school owners and administrators.

AMTA invites massage school educators to attend this meeting to add their voices to school owners and administrators in discussions on the future of massage therapy education. The event will feature a summary of AMTA’s state of the industry research and a panel discussion among representatives of school ownership and educators/teachers.

The Summit format will include speakers and topics important to all attendees, as well as break-out sessions specific to both owners and educators. It will foster discussion on the state of massage therapy schools and their challenges and potential in a rapidly-changing environment.
