Winter
is always a challenge for massage therapists who come
into constant direct contact with so many people. This
year, with the prevalence of seasonal flu and H1N1, AMTA
encourages you to be especially careful and protect
yourself and your clients.
AMTA
recommends you read information provided by the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and
check their website frequently for updated information.
Especially helpful may be their
information for healthcare professionals.
Most
importantly, remember the common sense guidelines to
wash your hands frequently and don’t accept an
appointment for someone with flu-like symptoms. Always
clean your table/chair after each client. If you aren’t
feeling well, it’s best to not meet with or massage
clients.
Stay
healthy this winter.
